COMPANY BACKGROUND
In 1982 Noel Whittaker and Cheryl Macnaught established Whittaker Macnaught with a clear vision: to provide sound financial advice for ordinary Australians.
Today, Whittaker Macnaught has grown into one of Australia's largest financial planning practices, with over 70 staff and 6 offices from the Gold Coast to Mackay.
Since 1982 over 20,000 Australians, from Thursday Island to Perth have trusted the team at Whittaker Macnaught to handle their financial affairs. That's not something we take lightly. Our approach has been built around providing professional financial advice with a personal service offered by a dedicated group of financial advisers and staff.
In January 2007, Whittaker Macnaught was purchased by St Andrew's Australia, the wealth and insurance arm of HBOS Australia. St Andrew's is a wholly owned subsidiary of HBOS Australia (HBOSA), which in turn is part of the HBOS Group plc, one of the world's largest financial planning institutions. Becoming part of a global organisation opens a host of new opportunities for our organisation, giving our clients access to a broader range of products. This new phase is an exciting new chapter in the Whittaker Macnaught story. Noel and Cheryl continue to be actively involved with the business on a daily basis with their focus remaining firmly on assisting their clients to achieve their financial goals.
While the business has grown and evolved over the years, it has never lost sight of where it began - helping ordinary Australians make extraordinary choices.
Whittaker Macnaught is an Australian Financial Services Licensee and a Principal Member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia Limited.
