Company background
In 1982 Noel Whittaker and Cheryl Macnaught established Whittaker Macnaught with a clear vision: to provide sound financial advice for ordinary Australians.
Today, Whittaker Macnaught has grown into one of Australia's largest financial planning practices, with over 70 staff and 5 offices from the Gold Coast to Mackay.
Since 1982 over 20,000 Australians, from Thursday Island to Perth have trusted the team at Whittaker Macnaught to handle their financial affairs. That's not something we take lightly. Our approach has been built around providing professional financial advice with a personal service offered by a dedicated group of financial advisers and staff.
In October 2008, Whittaker Macnaught, as part of the St Andrew’s Australia group, was acquired by Commonwealth Bank of Australia ABN 123 123 124 (“CBA”).
Becoming part of a much larger organisation opens a host of new opportunities for us, giving our clients access to a broader range of products and services. This new phase is an exciting new chapter in the Whittaker Macnaught story. Cheryl Macnaught retired from the business in 2009, but Noel continues to be actively involved with the business on a daily basis with his focus remaining firmly on helping Whittaker Macnaught clients to achieve their financial goals. While the business has grown and evolved over the years, it has never lost sight of where it began - helping ordinary Australians make extraordinary choices.
Whittaker Macnaught is an Australian Financial Services Licensee and a Principal Member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia Limited.
